I felt the weight of the sun
On my knees
I showed up thinking you’d be waiting for me
I sat alone on the bench
Where I saw you last
Lucy light brought me back
Alone, alone
Where’s home? Go home.
Alone, alone
Boardwalk with you has got us
Circling back
Pictures of you on my dash
Me and Charlie speeding on the fourth
Lightning and bugs
Driving cross country to show you our love
My love, my love
Am I capable of showing you my love
Or am I alone?
Am I alone?
Should I romanticize all the time I spent
By your side
Or should I just hold close all the reasons
That I have to let it go?
A Partner to Lean On is easily one of my top three favorite albums of all time. I heard it for the first time about 5 months ago and have essentially had it on repeat ever since. I've been basically unable to listen to anything else in that time because nothing lives up to this. Ian Whitlock
Buoyant one-off release from a long-running Atlanta band who juggle garage rock, folk, and power pop; don't miss the Mark Morrison cover. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 9, 2024
I saw Trace Mountains open for Wild Pink at DC9 in Washington, D.C. I like Wild Pink a lot but Trace Mountains was an eye-opener that night, and I only later realized I had previously seen Dave Benton perform with LVL Up at the 9:30 Club. This album is just eminently listenable: great instrumentation, easy lyrics, a lot of spirit. Jake Grubman
